Covid Heroes

We entered 2020 with plenty of dreams
But finished the year with plenty of death
No one expected the Covid 19
As we were closing up 2019
Many laughed calling it a white man's disease
Until the lockdown when we couldn't move with ease
Many were locked up and felt hopeless
Apart from essential workers
Like nurses and doctors
Who went on the frontline, to fight corona virus
Made their lives vulnerable to save others
Suffocating in masks and watching many die
Putting on protective gear to help the infected
Some were under paid but served the best way
Others under experienced but helped either way
Living in quarantine away from family
Shaking under their skin scared of calamity
Acting brave infront of everyone else
Breaking down amongst themselves
But fighting on, to keep the world safe
Hoping for a day they'll breath without a mask
While executing well their every day task,
Every one was worried but a few stood out
Health workers became heroes and truly helped out
Risking everything to fight the Covid sting
But some bosses just turned a blind eye
On the health workers who'd always try
We prayed everyday for a better day
Though right now some never made it
We'll never forget their true sacrifice
The conditions they lived that were sad
The words that they heard, good or bad
Pushing through to the best that they could
And believing for a day when all will be good.
A tree is just a symbol of life
From a seed meant to bring it alive
And to see us remember their lives
Is a sign that their effort, saved plenty of souls
They planted the seed and we reap the fruit.
A moment of silence as a humble salute
For the heroes that served and sadly left

Artistic Pleasure

Art is to express In order to impress So when they oppress We're left in distress We turn to the press We'll hold a congress To help us and address The issue under stress I can sincerely confess That hearts are tireless The passion is timeless The causes are countless And support is in greatness For the forces to suppress, We may be denied access To solve this and worry less Locked up by the heartless But our fueled spiritedness Exposes the pointlessness Of the people in highness To refer to us as hopeless For they're blind of the essence. Art takes a special process And unique will to progress That not so many possess To create it as seamless But to make it powerless Instead of freely limitless Deprived of its worthiness Can make it meaningless Suffocating to breathless, Let's strive for openness Avoid it getting worthless Adapt for it's sharpness Adorn it with smartness Save it from its dullness Let artists be border less And feel free to address Not feel robb...

The Guardians

The people that gave me life I choose to celebrate your life I haven't been open so often But ride along, recite this poem. From the first tear that I shed To the very first fear I ever had You would heal me from inside With every simple word you said, For every kind of bill you paid Every type of brick that was laid Every bed of mine that you laid Being like my personal maid I sincerely and fully appreciate. All effort of the two of you Puts a honest smile on my face, At times agile and on my case I belittled you and frowned my face But you modeled me into this vase You amended and gave me a base You helped me find dreams to chase And you prepared me to win my race Taught me how to tie my shoelace Loved for me to feel your embrace Fought for me to deserve a place Prayed for me to always be blessed Organized me and what I messed Talked to me and taught me lessons Sought for me to always blossom Loved me with care and affection Looked out for me with protection Did a lot that I may ...

In the Spotlight

You know that feeling when You do wrong to people And you're later forgiven But everytime with them It feels awkward again; Or when you dump her And then start to regret Because you want to go back But there's no way she'll accept. Those feelings of regret so heavy That you can't express freely Those mixed emotions so deadly They easily kill your personality And so painfully humiliating You walk with your head hanging. These embarrassing encounters Are experienced by everyone alive In many different scenarios: When they try to fit in new company And end up trying too hard to please When one stands up in protest And no-one stands with him Or when you meet that special person And get that weird feeling Which causes things to go wrong; But we focus so much on ourselves Forgetting others also do struggle, Every mind is dangerously fragile Every heart is easily broken And every soul can get lonely. You're in charge of who you are Many sugges...
