Set Aside

I had written her a song
It took me so very long
And when I was done with it
I decided to sing it to her
I wanted her to sing along
So we would both enjoy it
But her face looked long,
I thought I'd be her King Kong
But something was wrong!
She then explained to me
There was someone all along
Who made her to belong
She said the story was long
So I acted like I was strong
Pretended nothing is wrong
My heart was beating like a gong
Then I heard a bell go Ding Dong
It just kept going on and on
I was getting angry you know
The sound forced me awake
It was a dream I had all along
And someone was at the door.

When I got myself to the door
It was the nicest friend I know
The one I adored on the low
Who appeared in my dream
Just a few moments ago
So I think am still asleep,
Meanwhile she's at door step
As I was shaking off my sleep
Trying to come back to my sense
She gently pulled my left ear
And asked, "what's wrong my dear?"
With this glorious smile she wore
Her gorgeous eyes looking in mine
She then slid her hand to my cheek
Softly slapped me twice and got in.

I'd fallen asleep in the chair
So I was still dressed for the day
She hated when I was shabby
I thought I had really tried that day
Till she said, "You can't dress that way"
She then asks, "Did you dream today"
I was quick to reply, "Why care to ask?"
"You have sleepy eyes," she answered
I said," I dreamt my Angel flew away"
She replied, "As your bro, I'll always stay"
As she spoke I felt something's wrong,
I stood across the room and watched her
Majestically take a seat on the chair
Attractively whip forth her dread hair
Until she looked up and saw me stare
She never minded because I'd often glare.
She had on white pants and a crop top
Looking glamorous from toe to top
Glowing beauteous and scented dope
Moving her sweet lips as she spoke
With every word said I'd not cope,
Admiring a treasure in brother zone.

She then asked for a drink and shed a tear
I also got her what to eat but I was in fear
I brought water, knelt down in front of her
Raised her head and handed her the glass
Then I tried so hard to get her to talk
While she dramatically delayed to speak
And after a long while of  trying a lot
She told me her man broke her heart,
It's mean that I was feeling a bit happy
Until she started getting really soppy
And told me I'm the only guy who gets her
I'm the only guy who never disappoints her
The only one she knows truly cares for her
And developed a bond that will last forever,
After saying all those sweet words she added
"Let's make sure we just grow up together
And teach my children how to be a brother"
As I got up to sit besides her
She concluded with a hug and wept
I was not even sure how I felt
But my heart was truly swept,
After that I told her all the funny jokes
And watched an angel laugh my love away...
I thought we'd make a nice piece of art but what I wished for had to be set aside.

Artistic Pleasure

Art is to express In order to impress So when they oppress We're left in distress We turn to the press We'll hold a congress To help us and address The issue under stress I can sincerely confess That hearts are tireless The passion is timeless The causes are countless And support is in greatness For the forces to suppress, We may be denied access To solve this and worry less Locked up by the heartless But our fueled spiritedness Exposes the pointlessness Of the people in highness To refer to us as hopeless For they're blind of the essence. Art takes a special process And unique will to progress That not so many possess To create it as seamless But to make it powerless Instead of freely limitless Deprived of its worthiness Can make it meaningless Suffocating to breathless, Let's strive for openness Avoid it getting worthless Adapt for it's sharpness Adorn it with smartness Save it from its dullness Let artists be border less And feel free to address Not feel robb...

The Guardians

The people that gave me life I choose to celebrate your life I haven't been open so often But ride along, recite this poem. From the first tear that I shed To the very first fear I ever had You would heal me from inside With every simple word you said, For every kind of bill you paid Every type of brick that was laid Every bed of mine that you laid Being like my personal maid I sincerely and fully appreciate. All effort of the two of you Puts a honest smile on my face, At times agile and on my case I belittled you and frowned my face But you modeled me into this vase You amended and gave me a base You helped me find dreams to chase And you prepared me to win my race Taught me how to tie my shoelace Loved for me to feel your embrace Fought for me to deserve a place Prayed for me to always be blessed Organized me and what I messed Talked to me and taught me lessons Sought for me to always blossom Loved me with care and affection Looked out for me with protection Did a lot that I may ...

In the Spotlight

You know that feeling when You do wrong to people And you're later forgiven But everytime with them It feels awkward again; Or when you dump her And then start to regret Because you want to go back But there's no way she'll accept. Those feelings of regret so heavy That you can't express freely Those mixed emotions so deadly They easily kill your personality And so painfully humiliating You walk with your head hanging. These embarrassing encounters Are experienced by everyone alive In many different scenarios: When they try to fit in new company And end up trying too hard to please When one stands up in protest And no-one stands with him Or when you meet that special person And get that weird feeling Which causes things to go wrong; But we focus so much on ourselves Forgetting others also do struggle, Every mind is dangerously fragile Every heart is easily broken And every soul can get lonely. You're in charge of who you are Many sugges...
